The polymer producer and marketer sought a solution to provide more flexibility, improve accuracy, and save time: the answer lay with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gom.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">GOM<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">SABIC was looking for a system that provided fast, superior validation of different designs in various environmental conditions. The GOM systems fulfilled these requirements perfectly. Another advantage was the fact that many of SABIC\u2019s customers were already working with GOM systems. This meant instantly comparable data results and made GOM the first choice.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5828 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/aie.com.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/s\u1ea3n-ph\u1ea9m-nh\u1ef1a-trong-qu\u00e1-tr\u00ecnh-\u0111o-quang-h\u1ecdc-t\u1ea1i-SABIC.jpg\" alt=\"s\u1ea3n ph\u1ea9m nh\u1ef1a trong qu\u00e1 tr\u00ecnh \u0111o quang h\u1ecdc t\u1ea1i SABIC\" width=\"450\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Three GOM systems evaluate part performance<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tim van Erp, team leader of Application Testing at SABIC, says that it quickly proved the right decision. \u201cThanks to GOM systems, SABIC was able to take the next steps in advanced dimensional performance evaluations. GOM\u2019s various measuring options help to rapidly solve many measuring challenges and analyses.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The company began by using the optical photogrammetry system <a href=\"https:\/\/aie.com.vn\/en\/tritop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">TRITOP<\/span><\/a> for static deformation analysis of a new plastic tailgate and later expanded with <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/aie.com.vn\/en\/aramis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ARAMIS<\/a><\/span> for localized deformation and strain measurements during loading conditions on complex molded parts. By replacing a CMM with GOM\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/aie.com.vn\/en\/atos-triple-scan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">ATOS Triple Scan<\/span><\/a> system for 3D scanning, SABIC increased efficiencies even further. <a href=\"https:\/\/aie.com.vn\/en\/3d-scanning\/atos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">ATOS<\/span><\/a> allows full-field measurements; the corresponding GOM software enables a 3D analysis of surfaces as well as a 2D analysis of sections or points, visualizing any issues, without any unchecked areas. ATOS showed this benefit when measuring the wear of gear wheels after life-cycle tests.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cFor us, the value of GOM systems is beyond dispute and we see the use of their measuring systems as a must for future projects.
